Tigers Enter Playoffs as State’s #1 Seed

Lady Tigers began their quest for a 3A State Championship on Tuesday. The number one seeded Tigers traveled to Northern Arizona University to battle Sedona Red Rock at 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Results in that match-up were not available as of press time. Assistant Head Coach Dean Alonzo says “the team is excited about the chance to win a state title,” something the team has worked hard all season to achieve. When asked about the pressure of being the number one seed, senior guard Taylor Romans told me “there is no pressure at all, being number one is just a number.” She says the team plans to simply “play their defensive game.”
