With Deep Sorrow

It is with deep sorrow and regret that we note the passing of long time Gila County Manager, Steven L. Besich, in Globe, Arizona. Steve began his career with Gila County in 1985 as Economic Development Specialist. He was promoted to Community Development Deputy Director and has been County Manager for over twenty years. Additionally, he served under former Governor, now Secretary of Homeland Security, Janet Napolitano, as Liaison for Rural Affairs. Steve is known by employees as "Mr. B.," "Boss," and of course "Mr. Besich." He has provided guidance, support, and leadership to us all. Throughout his career he never lost his passion for his work and for the employees and citizens of Gila County. Gila County Board of Supervisors Globe, Arizona, Shirley L. Christmas Cave Thank You

Another year has past and the Christmas Cave would like to thank all of the sponsors for their help and their support. I would like to thank Globe and Sheriff PD for their extra surveillance. A big thank you to APS for their willingness to work with us again for electricity. Last but not least I would like to thank Pinal Lumber for maintenance supplies this year and Globe Education Association for their financial support. Thank you all, The Christmas Cave.

Red Cross Says Thank You

The Red Cross would like to thank the organizations, business, and helpers who helped namely: Tonto National Forest Globe District, Gila Sheriffs Office, Shining Times Car Wash, Copper Country News, Arizona Silver Belt, Frys, Wal Mart, Safeway in Claypool, KIKO, KQSS, The Ride, LDS Church in Claypool, and Ron Tryon, Charlie Riddle, Anton ‘"Rocky” Miller, Stella Norton, Elaine McWaters, Esther Miller, Jo Griswold, Laurie Brock, Gayle Boehn, Alice Huepplesheuser, and Cali's Florest.
