At one time Doug was my brother-in-law.
While we didn’t see eye-to-eye all the time, a good friendship was built over the years.
It’s hard to believe the man I ran around with as a kid and was a part of my family is gone.
Doug loved hunting and fishing and I was fortunate to have tagged along a number of times.
I know Tim, Doug’s brother remembers when we were quail hunting and received birdshot from a distance!
Doug was a good man, a man of integrity.
He was NEVER afraid to tell you exactly what was on his mind.
I know I will miss him, and I’m sad I missed his funeral.
My regards go out to the crew that was with him on his final mission. I’d like to thank them for their efforts in trying to save Doug.
My sympathies go out to Jeannie, his wife.
May God bless and keep him for eternity; he will be missed.
