Hundreds of American Legion Riders for The Legacy Run

You could hear the earth rumble as nearly 400 bikes roared down  the famous “Route 66,” now Highway 60. The riders’ goal is to raise no less than $350,000 for the American Legion Legacy Scholarship for the 90th Annual American Legion National Convention. Other riders joined each day and increased the number of participants along the 1,800-mile route. Globe Fire proudly displayed their huge flag. People lined the highway to show their support. A special thanks to True Blue Jewelry for the use of their roof and the crew at the new car wash for safely helping our reporter to get a bird’s-eye view of the action, to David Stanley from North Carolina for letting our reporter hitch a ride on his Harley as they roared through town, and last but not least to all the riders and supporters who participated in this year’s run. Good job everyone!
