Letter of Thanks From SOS

Gila County SOS would like to thank the Globe-Miami Gun Club and Desert Eagle Gun Shop for making our annual Gun Shoot such a wonderful success. It takes a lot of hard work on the part of many to pull things together and this was no exception. We would like to thank the ladies and gentlemen of the Gun Club for running the events and ensuring the safety of all during the shoot. Special thanks to Boris and the Desert Eagle Gun Shop for once again supplying the machine guns and .50 cal rifle for us to shoot. To all who attended and supported us during the shoot, thank you as well. Without the support of the community and organizations like the Gun Club, we would not be able to pack and mail our “miracle” packages of love and support to our local young men and women serving in harm’s way. Several of those who have received our packages have returned home to thank us for the support and for thinking of them as they make their sacrifices so far from home. We have been told that at times when things looked the darkest for them, returning to base and finding one of our packages waiting was such a lift for their spirits. Thanks to all who had a hand in the success of our shoot and allowing us to continue this great work.
Please join us next year on Armed Forces Day in May of 2009 for the 3rd Annual Gila County SOS Gun Shoot. Please continue to wear Red on Friday to show your support!
