4th of July Committee decides to cancel parade

Posted

This is to inform the public that the Fourth of July Parade in Miami, Ariz. has been canceled. It is with deep sorrow and sadness that we have had to take this action. But, with increase in cases of COVID virus infections and concerns of a further increase after the Fourth of July event, I have decided that it is best not to have the event so that no blame can be put on it!

We only hope that the American citizens of Cobre Valley can recognize the importance of this date and appreciate what freedoms were made for us because of what occurred on July Fourth in 1776. We hope you can find a way to celebrate this birth date of our country and share that importance with members of your family! We are sorry we had to take away that opportunity we had planned for you!

Please understand what our forefathers were able to do with respect, honor and patience that has made the United States of America Great! If anything, take a moment of silence with your family and be thankful that we have such a treasure as this great country with its freedoms.

Happy Fourth of July from the Fourth of July Committee.
