Alicia Rolon Estevane was born on Aug. 29, 1940 in Tijuana, Mexico to Javier Rolon Cuevas and Elena Ornales Romero. She entered into rest on July 24, 2019 with her family by her side.

Alicia moved to Arizona in May 1962 with her husband Albert and her two children, Ricardo and Nonie. Albert and Alicia expanded their family, adding six more children; Helen, Albert, Teresa, Javier, Irma and Alicia. Albert passed away in 1971, leaving Alicia to care for her children alone. Just when everyone thought her heart couldn’t get any bigger, Alicia and her loving companion Mike Ceballos and his two daughters, Debbie and Diane combined their families. This would later include Alicia’s sister’s sons Carlos, Jamie and Edgar after her passing in 1995. Mike passed away in March 2004.

Alicia was a wonderful daughter, sister, mother, nana, comadre and friend. She had a heart of gold and was a mother to many. All was welcome in her home at any time for coffee, a homecooked meal and good conversation. Alicia was one of the founders of the Lady of Fatima group at Holy Angels Catholic Church. Alicia was strong in her Catholic faith and encouraged all of her children and grandchildren to stay involved in the church. Alicia was very proud of her large family and is revered as the glue that binds the family together.

Alicia is survived by her mother, siblings Javier, Pepe, Arturo, Juan and Jesus Rolon; sisters Pina Covarrubias, Nena Ornelas, and Ana Serrano. She is also survived by her children, Debbie Casey (Francis), Nonie Herrera (Tommy), Helen Morales (Pedro), Albert Estevane, Teresa Lopez (Victor), Diane Ceballos (Pancho), Javier Estevane (Laura), Irma Estevane, Alicia Olivarez (Gilbert), Carlos Aguilar (Toni), Jaime Aguilar (Josefina), and Edgar Aguilar (Alan), 32 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

She is preceded in death by her father Javier Cuevas, her brother Polo Rolon, her sister Irma Rolon de Aguilar, and her son Ricardo Estevane.

Services for Alicia were held on Tuesday, July 30 at 8:30 a.m. for viewing, 9:30 a.m. Rosary, and 10 a.m. Mass at Holy Angels Catholic Church in Globe, Ariz.
