Allen James Thorne, Sr., 64, of San Carlos, passed away on June 8, at Banner University Medical Center in Phoenix.
He was born in San Carlos on July 30, 1954, the son of Alfred James Thorne and Hattie (Hoffman) Thorne. He was a board member of Anchor 7 Ranch Cattle Association.
Allen was an avid outdoorsman he loved to go fishing and hunting. Allen is survived by his wife Charlotte Sue (Phillips) Thorne, his children Allen J. Thorne, Jr., Penny M. LaGrange, Stephanie R. Thorne, Detra G. Thorne, Tara L. Thorne and Anna Doral Thorne, his siblings; Ophelia James and Aaron J. Thorne, 21 Grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Visitation will be on Friday, June 14 at 5 p.m. at the Detra Thorne residence. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 15, at 11 a.m. at Burdette Hall with interment to follow at San Carlos Cemetery.
