Nonprofit organizations are invited to apply for a community grant from the American Family Insurance Dreams Foundation by Feb. 27.
Community nonprofit organizations that align with American Family Insurance Dreams Foundation granting priority areas are welcome to apply for the 2020 grant cycle from American Family Insurance through Feb. 27 at 4:30 p.m. central time.
Beginning in 2020, American Family Insurance and the American Family Insurance Dreams Foundation will move to one community grant cycle. In previous years there have been two grant cycles, one in February and one in July.
Though there will be one fewer grant cycle, the total investment for community grants will not decrease.
“This change was enacted for several reasons,” said Maggie Pascaly, American Family community investment manager. “It will allow for consolidation of resources, add efficiency to the grant process, and reduce the need for our non-profit partners to complete multiple applications each year.”
Pascaly added the hope is to streamline the process and encourage and enable more non-profit organizations that meet the giving criteria to apply for a community grant.
In addition, recipients who received grant funding during the previous cycle are welcome to apply during the 2020 cycle.

American Family Insurance and the American Family Insurance Dreams Foundation continue to have a significant impact in communities across the nation. Since 2016, $9.5 million has been committed to more than 1,000 grants across its operating territories.
