We want to report to you dear friends among our Globe-Miami community that your help allowed us to reach our first goal of $25,000 for COTA in honor of our baby Askar Kannegaard. Your generous support, prayers and care have been greatly appreciated and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Because the family was able to reach this first stage amount, the COTA (Children’s Organ Transplant Associati on) will donate an additi onal $2,500! The next goal and final goal is $50,000. Currently the COTA fund stands at $27,361.

These monies are raised by families of children who undergo transplants to help with ongoing costs of follow-up care, medicines, regular testing, and doctor bills which will be lifelong. Please continue to think of different ways you can continue to help COTA in honor of Baby Askar in the next months. And we thank you for your kindhearted giving in these challenging days of rising costs in so many areas of our lives.
