Canyonlands Covid-19 Testing Blitz Thank You and December Dates

Posted

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who participated in our Covid-19 testing blitz on Nov. 5. We had a great turnout with all results reported the next day. I am so grateful to the community for supporting our efforts and to the members of my staff who made the day a success. Just as it takes a village to raise a child, it takes the community to have a blitz. We have such great support from the Silver Belt and Copper Country News, Globe-Miami Times, KQSS and KIKO with news coverage that helps alert the public before these events, along with FB sites who either allow me to post or graciously post for me. Here’s a big shout-out to Globe Rotary Club and President Cami Lucero for providing lunch for my team - the hot meal was very much appreciated. I would like to thank Canyonlands for making this testing event possible and to all of those who worked: Sara Bennett, FNP; Jean Turney-Shaw, FNP; Jenni Kuker, FNP; Shawnda, Kira, Angela, Esther and AJ from Page, and Brandie from Safford. Words can’t begin to express the gratitude I have in my heart; we couldn’t have pulled it off without each and every one of you! Numbers are on the rise, so please take precautionary measures and stay safe.

Free Covid testing Dec. 3, 10 and 17

Do you want to get tested? Canyonlands Healthcare will offer free Covid-19 testing each week on Thursday afternoons, Dec. 3, 10 and 17 from 1 - 5 p.m. This will be walk-in testing; no appointment necessary. The test is the nasal swab, not a rapid-test, and results should be back from the lab within three business days. Free testing is limited to those three Thursday afternoons; if you wish to be tested outside of those designated days and hours, an appointment is required and you will be charged for the test. Questions? Please call Canyonlands at 928-402-0491. Canyonlands is located at 5860 S. Hospital Drive, Ste 102. Our office is located in front of the hospital in the Medical Office Building; please do not call Cobre Valley Hospital or check in there for this free testing.
