MIAMI — Town of Miami will celebrate its 100th birthday on Saturday, March 10 and invites everyone to the celebration at Bullion Plaza, located at 150 N. Plaza Cir.
There will be two opportunities to catch the show.
On March 10 the festivities begin at 10 a.m. at the Miami Memorial Library, located at 282 S. Adonis Ave. where visitors can tour the Sports Hall of Fame until 11 a.m.
Also starting at 10 a.m. will be Mi Vida Car Show and kids activities going until 4 p.m. at Bullion Plaza. Then the public can go down Sullivan Street and enjoy the sights and sounds at the Golden Oldies Car Show until 3 p.m.
The rest of the day’s events will take place at Bullion Plaza.
There will be two showings from a dance group, the first from noon to 1 p.m. and the second from 3 to 4 p.m. At the Inspiration Room, visitors can enjoy the music of the Centennial Jazz Band from 4 to 5 p.m.
For those who entered, or know someone who has entered the essay contest, the judging and ceremony will take place from 4 to 4:30 p.m.
For those who already have tickets, there will be the Globe Miami Chamber of Commerce social hour in the Bullion Gym from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. and dinner with a program from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
There will be no ticket sales at the door.
