Chairman Terry Rambler of the San Carlos Apache Tribe organized a Veterans Golf committee to plan for the Chairman’s Veterans Day Golf Tournament, planned for Nov. 9, 2018 at the Apache Gold Casino’s Apache Stronghold Golf Club.

This tournament is a fundraising event to benefit Apache veterans from the San Carlos Veterans Association.

The committee meeting held on Wednesday, July 11 included San Carlos Apache Tribal Chairman Rambler, Patty Bowyer, chief financial officer for San Carlos Apache Gaming Enterprises, Lee Randall, general manager of Apache Sky Casino, Derek White, assistant general manager of SCATUI, Steven Ravencamp, director of non-gaming operations, Apache Gold Casino, Cali Stands, executive assistant to Chairman Rambler and Cheryl Mae Haozous, San Carlos Unified School District Lead Community Parent Educator.

One of the items on the agenda was the creation of a logo depicting the San Carlos Apache Veteran.

Plans are underway to hold a contest to add this logo to the upcoming flyers and advertisements for the Chairman’s Veterans Day Golf Tournament.

Chairman Rambler hopes this event will be enough to purchase another van for the Apache Veterans Association.
