The Cobre Valley Independence Day Celebration is very excited to announce that Sullivan Street, in Miami, will be the new home of the annual Independence Day parade.
The welcoming leadership of the Town of Miami projects great success and unstifled growth in years to come for the celebrating of our nation’s most sacred holiday.
Day and time remains the same.
This year, pull up a curbside next to the Veterans Memorial Park on Sullivan Street, in Miami, and be serenaded by the Celebration Band orchestra.
Pull the rig down to Bullion Plaza and dress it up for the patriotic parade. All parade fees this year will benefit the Tri-City Fire victims of home fires charity.
Purchase a souvenir t-shirt and help raise money for the Gila County Public Safety Memorial fund. Parade float setup begins at 7 a.m. in front of Bullion Plaza. Parade entry forms are available for pick-up and drop off at the Globe-Miami Chamber of Commerce by July 2.
Don’t wait to claim one for the family, business or community organization. The Celebration Band will begin their performance at the park beginning at 8 a.m.
Opening ceremonies begin at 8:30 a.m. Don’t miss the American Legion Riders escort the American flag to Veterans Memorial Park. Observe the professionalism of the Globe High School JROTC Color Guard post the flag and sing along with local singing talent Lori Abeyta as she sings the national anthem. Applaud the performance of this year’s patriotic play, “Council of Patriots Past,” performed by the Copper Cities Players.
