Saturday, March 13, the Gila Community Food Bank gratefully received a delivery of cereal, peanut butter, oatmeal and other non-perishable food items from the Sara K Foundation, an Arizona nonprofit organization serving communities across the state with Acts of Kindness. The Sara K Foundation collected and delivered 176 boxes and 56 single-serve packages of cereal, 126 jars/packages of peanut butter and four boxes of single-serving oatmeal, as well as miscellaneous non-perishable food items. “The Gila Community Food Bank was an obvious choice for us given that many of our board members have ties to the Globe area,” the foundation said.
