“Copper Ball” Dance

The Old Dominion Days Celebration and the Copper Ball dance will be upon us before we know it.

With about three months to prepare, we have mentioned in previous articles about shopping local.

Today we are presenting one of the first vintage formal wear, as promised. This beautiful long gown and tailored suit can be purchased right here in Globe at ‘Turn the Page Vintage and Western Apparel.

Owner Cindy Phillips has a delightful array of long eloquent gowns. All the accessories to finish the final touch. From pearl to diamonds to fur capes, shaws, hats, gloves, shoes, all from the 1900’s. Her prices are extremely reasonable.

For the men, there are handsome manley suits, some tailored, some with or without vests, hats, boots, just ask Ruby Amodor and Chris Sweeney, regular customers.

So if you want to be that lady or man from the 1910’s, 20’s, 30’s or 40’s, turn the page is the place to shop.

Turn the page hours are Summer: Wednesday – Friday 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Regular hours begin September 1: Tuesday -Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
