Copper Cities Community Players set for spring

CCCPlayers have selected the Tony Award-winning play, “Lend Me a Tenor,” to be its spring event, scheduled for the last weekend of April and the first weekend of May.

This Ken Ludwig screwball comedy is set in fall 1934 in the city of Cleveland where the Grand Opera Company is primed to welcome world-famous Tito Morelli, known as “Il Stupendo,” the greatest tenor of his generation, to appear for one night only as Otello. The star arrives late and, through a series of mishaps, looks like he will not be able to perform. The efforts and actions of the Opera Company personnel and Il Stupendo to salvage the evening performance is guaranteed to leave audiences teary eyed with laughter. Save the dates and be on the lookout for more information about times and ticket sales for this comedic performance to take place at The Old Courthouse Theater in downtown Globe.
