Councilman Medina addresses the town

Here’s your chance Miami.

As some of you in Miami might have noticed we, a group of concerned individuals, on Tuesday evening November 5, 2019 headed out with a handful of survey forms to collect income and household data. 322 households were randomly picked by computer to get a sampling of the data required to complete the PROJECT.

THE REASON: Miami WILL receive $244,099 dollars in PROJECT dollars IF the Income Survey is completed according to HUD requirements AND shows the town has 51% households or more with low to moderate incomes.

THE END RESULT: If the income survey effort does not collect enough surveys to meet the HUD sampling requirement OR the result does not show that the town has 51% or more households of low to moderate incomes Miami will not receive the money.

THE GOAL: Apparently some Miami residents don’t seem to understand the importance of this project. Therefore, we will continue to collect data with periodic pushes starting Tuesday November 12, 2019 with the goal of completing the PROJECT by the end of the month.

NOTE: The data collected is in no way connected with the upcoming Census and will not be seen by anyone outside of the PROJECT.

So please, please, help the town of Miami collect $244,099.00 that is right here at our doorstep and will be helping to continue the progress made in improving our infrastructure and or other concerns. If you have any questions or concerns, please call (928) 473-4403 and ask for Tashiana (Tash) Jerrols or Jose (Angel) Medina Sr. at (928) 200-0820.
