Eddie Gene Rector, 58, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on March 19, 2018. Eddie was born to Annie and Edward Eugene Annis on Feb. 23, 1960 in Hardeman County, Texas. Eddie and his sister were adopted when they were three and two by Bedford Herman Rector and Billie Mae Horton Rector. They all moved to Safford, Arizona. Eddie went to Safford Unified School District. He went on to graduate in 1978, a Safford Bulldog.
After High School, Eddie joined the army. He went to boot camp and Louisiana and was then stationed in Germany.
After the army, Eddie went to a tech school for appliance repair. He got his Arizona school bus driver certificate and CDL on Aug. 11, 1992.
Eddie enjoyed fishing, camping, and his family and friends. Eddie loved his job and all of the beautiful and handsome kids he drove for over 25 years. He will be remembered by his funny, but blunt personality and his funny faces.
Eddie has five children and has been married twice.
Eddie is preceded in death by his parents Bedford and Billie Rector, his sister Peggy Fulkerson, and brother Calvin.
Eddie is survived by his sister Janie Rector (Nate, Matt and family), Globe, Arizona; brother Richard Rector (Dawna and family), Safford, Arizona, and brother Harvey James; daughter Edi Rector (David), Globe, Arizona and son Eli Rector, Miami, Arizona; Stephenie Lofgreen (Louis), Globe, Arizona; Kelley Everett (Seth), Elko, Nevada, and Joel Lawhon (Elko, Nevada). His handsome grandsons who he adored, Benjamin Lofgreen, Micheal Everett, and Keleb Macintosh. Numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and other family members
