Ciallella, Emil Anthony Jr. passed away peacefully at the age of 73 on April 18, 2017 after a long illness. He was a resident of Globe, Ariz. and son of the late Emil Anthony Ciallella and Italia DiBiase of Barrington, R.I.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Carol Ann (Cuniff) Ciallella. He is also survived by three sisters, Dr. Elizabeth Piasecki of Kohler, WI, Rose Wilson of Kalamazoo, MI, and Dr. Louise Ciallella (Dr. Timothy Browning) of Madison, Wi. He was the fond uncle of two nieces, Dr. Shelley Piasecki (Jason E. Dierkes, Esq.) of Sheboygan, WI, and Dr. Jennifer Driscoll (Dr. Ross Driscoll) of Kalamazoo, MI, and two nephews, Dr. Thomas Piasecki (Dr. Wendy Slutske) of Columbia, MO and Jeffrey L. Wilson, Esq. (Moli Wilson) of Forest Hills, NY. Also survived by six great nephews and nieces. Special cousin of John Tamburro (Karen) of Barrington, R.I. Emil was the library director of the Gila County Library District in Miami, Ariz. from 1989-1993.

He was a graduate of Providence College, Assumption College and the University of Rhode Island. Emil was a veteran of the US Army and served in Viet Nam. Special thanks to the Globe Fire Department, the Globe first responders, the medical staff at the Globe VA Clinic, and to Jim and Linda Clark who cared for Emil diligently, over multiple occasions, and with great kindness.

Private interment with military honors will be held at a future date at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona.

Grant eternal rest onto him, O Lord. Raise him up to be with you on the last day. Amen.
