SAN CARLOS – The San Carlos Apache Cultural Center and Museum will host its first-time Apache Fine Arts Show on Saturday August 26 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

The public is invited to experience the Apache way of life directly from tribal artisans who will be exhibiting and selling their original work.

The museum is a twenty-five minute drive east of the City of Globe on Highway 70 at mile marker 272.

Admission is free.

Artist on hand are award winners at prominent art markets such as The Heard Museum, Santa Fe Indian Market, and Pueblo Grande Museum Indian Market in Phoenix. Various forms of art will be represented including jewelry, Apache baskets, paintings and beadwork.

Terrill Goseyun, Director of the museum, envisions this inaugural art show as potentially becoming an annual event. “The San Carlos Apache Tribe would like to share its rich history offered through exhibits at the cultural center and museum and on this special weekend, we have added the dimension of fine contemporary art form for visitors,” says Goseyun.

Lodging is available at the Apache Gold Casino Hotel and Resort or one of the many hotels in nearby City of Globe.
