This month’s First Friday event has so much to choose from. The once-a-month food truck roundup will also include the Tumbleweeds live in concert from 6 - 9 p.m. at the Old Dominion Parking Lot – and there’s a special Kids Bash at Veterans Park near City Hall from 4 - 8 p.m. with events ranging from a hula hoop contest to bean bag toss, chalk art, mini-golf, marble races, vegetable painting, a cupcake walk and more fun. First Friday always includes unique vendors on Oak Street adjacent to the Cobre Valley Center For The Arts: Coco Tiki Bread Company, Norma’s Wish Boxes, Talkalai’s Art & Craft, Trendy Mixations and more! If you are a business, vendor or food truck owner interested in participating in this free monthly event, contact Melissa Steele at 928-200-0836 or [email protected]
And don’t miss the specials at participating businesses all along Broad Street, like $5 craft beer pints at Farley’s Pub. Ask for the Chef’s Special at Bloom and Bravo, get a $3 frappe at Vida e Caffé, or get 15 minutes in any of the batting cages at the Gila County RV Park and Batting Range for just $10. And did someone say food trucks? Yes, it’s true; Globe-Miami has a growing range of “loncheras” and the lineup this Friday is set to include Los Gordos Sonoran Hotdogs, Gila Hogs BBQ, Sidewalk Alternatives, Saguaro Hotdogs & Lemonade and more. Food trucks are set up and serving by 4; live music by the Tumbleweeds begins at 6.
