Freda Scott (Sawaia) 88, passed away on June 6, 2019 in Scottsdale, Arizona.  Freda was born in Miami, Arizona on August 22, 1930 to Chicory and Millia Sawaia.  She was a 1948 Graduate of Miami High School. On March 13, 1954 Freda was joined in Holy Matrimony to Alan Scott of Globe, Arizona.  They were happily married for 62 years and were the proud parents of Ann M. Couch and Deacon Gary M. Scott (Penni), the grandparents to Gregory C. Couch (Erin), Brian A. Couch (Allison), and Adam M. Couch (Caroline), and joyfully welcomed four great-grandchildren, Wyatt Couch, Marshall Couch, Teresa Couch, and Diana Couch.

Freda and Alan owned Scott’s Well Works in Globe.  Freda was preceded in death by her husband Alan, her parents, her sisters Adele Sawaia and Selma Sawaia, and her brother Wade Sawaia.  Freda enjoyed her many friendships in Globe-Miami, Holy Angels Catholic Church, and her family.  The family of Freda wish to thank Fr. Arnold Aurillo and Holy Angels Catholic Church, Marian Gutierrez, R.N. and her team at Perpetual Help Assisted Living, Americare Hospice, Crosby Cortez of All Cure Medical Equipment, and Laura Harrington of Salon Rock for their loving support and care of Freda,.  Visitation and Vigil Service will be at Lamont Mortuary on Thursday June 13th from 6-8 p.m., Rosary at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Angels Catholic Church, followed by Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Angels, and burial at Globe Cemetery.
