Globe-Miami Regional Chamber of Commerce continues a series of virtual candidate forums Wednesday, Sept. 23, at 6 p.m. with an opportunity to meet local candidates running for Gila County Supervisor for District 2 (Globe, Miami, Roosevelt, Tonto Basin and Gisela) and District 3, which extends from Hayden-Winkelman through the San Carlos Apache Reservation and up to Young. These online forums broadcast live on youtube allow each candidate to share their positions on topics and issues our community. They’re also a chance for ‘Q-and-A’, submit written questions ahead of time via the website forms.gle/hXBuSGZgNrMq1XV66 (editor’s note: find an easy and convenient hotlink at facebook.com/globemiamichamber). Submit questions before the deadline Sept. 21 at 5 p.m.
“We may not be able to ask every question that we receive, but we will work our best to cover all the topics that are important to the people of Gila County,” said Globe-Miami Regional Chamber of Commerce Director Tianna Holder. “Elections are around the corner! Get to know the candidates and learn where they stand on issues that are important to you.”
Another forum Sept. 30 will spotlight candidates for Gila County Treasurer and also Sheriff. Prior forums earlier this summer are archived and viewable; search youtube using keywords ‘Globe-Miami Regional Chamber of Commerce Channel’ to see July’s introduction of those vying for Gila County Sheriff, and the August session for Globe City Council.
