Gila River Music Festival coming to Kearny

If you enjoy the music festival experience, you might want to visit Kearny, Arizona April 21 and 22 for the Third Gila River Music Festival. The two-day event will offer a diverse lineup of musical talent, dancers, food trucks, vendors and artists.

Gates will open at 10 a.m. Friday. Among the performers will be singer and songwriter Ellie Fern; the Americana band Pelican Museum; blues guitarist Arron McCall; reggae band Jahlos and the Rebels; the Native American dance troupe Indigenous Enterprise; special guest Julie Roberts; and more. Food vendors will include Butcher’s Choice BBQ; Sauced and Loaded Wings; Michocali SoCal tacos and more; Tempura Takeover; One Hot Mess fry breads and sandwiches; and more. The local Kearny Elks lodge will provide a beer garden.

Among the vendors will be Cactus Daisy Creations (jewelry); NB Artistry (art); Mama’s CBD Hempire; the T-shirt Factory; PJ Designs (cups and novelty items); Chelsea’s Bowtique; and others.

Festival tickets range from $30 to $150 and are available from EventBrite. Ticket sales are limited to the available space. Prices may increase as the event gets closer.

The festival will be located at the local rodeo grounds adjacent to the river. If you decide to stay for both days, tent camping will be available on-site or you can book a room locally at the General Kearny Inn, or nearby in Superior, Arizona at the historic Magma Hotel or the Copper Mountain Motel, 1545 Veterans Way in Kearny.
