Celebration of Life services for Gladys Woods are planned for 1 p.m. Saturday, May 15, 2021 at First Southern Baptist Church, Miami, Arizona.

Gladys Woods was the Assistant to her husband, Jimmie Woods, and a homemaker. She was born in Sherman, Texas on March 28, 1935 and passed away in her Globe home on May 3, 2021. She suffered lack of blood circulation for many years, which led to amputation of her right leg on April 12, 2021; she never fully recovered from that trauma.

She was in tremendous pain for many years, but did not give up. She continued to worship and assist her husband. The two of them often talked about the 70-plus years of “holding hands.” She graduated from high school and attended two years of college. In earlier days, when she could, she enjoyed bowling at the local alleys and on at least one occasion, bowled a 212.

Gladys was the Mom of six children: Lorie (Alan) Lott of Globe, Becky (Shane) Tillberry of Phoenix, Andy (preceded in death), David (Casey) of Missouri, Nanette Quam of Globe and Renee (Jeff) Rode of Casa Grande; 15 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was an excellent seamstress, making most of her children’s clothes when they were younger. She also made the wedding dresses for her daughters and one daughter-in-law.

Flowers may be sent to and arrangements are under the direction of Lamont Mortuary, Globe.

Assisting the family; Lamont Mortuary of Globe.
