Globe-Miami Community Concert Series season wraps up April 17

The Globe-Miami Community Concert Association is wrapping up its 2017-2018 concert season. Jared Pierce, master pianist, will perform on April 17, at 7 p.m. in the Miami High School Auditorium.

Pierce is coordinator of group piano studies and a member of the piano performance faculty. He received his Doctorate of Musical Arts from the University of Utah, a Master of Music in piano performance from BYU, and a Bachelor of Music from California State University, Stanislaus.

Pierce is known as one of Utah’s rising generation of engaging, versatile, and entertaining pianists, composers and teachers.

His performances have extended to Spain, Portugal, Brazil and throughout the United States. As a collaborative pianist, Pierce has worked with hundreds of singers, instrumentalists, and numerous choirs.

Recent professional collaborations include internationally renowned artists Øystein Baadsvik, Jutta Puchhammer-Sédillot, Jason Hardink, and Stephen Beus. Pierce is currently the accompanist for the Utah Chamber Artists and the Utah Symphony Chorus.

As a collaborative pianist, Dr. Pierce has been the joint recipient of numerous prizes including the “Grand Prix de la Ville de Tours” of the Florilège Vocal de Tours 2014 and 2015 International choir competitions.

Admission to the concerts is by membership. The main benefit of membership is to attend all the remarkable concerts the Association organizes with you, the Globe-Miami community, in mind.

Anyone purchasing a membership at this concert will receive the membership benefits for the new 2018-19 season, sure to be another crowd pleaser. The membership cost is as follows: adults, $40; students, $10; families, $90; single parent families, $50.

Memberships are available on the evening of the concert, at the desk at Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center, at the White Porch in Globe, or by mailing in a membership form from the brochure.

Brochures are available at both the Globe and Miami Libraries, the Chamber of Commerce, both Senior Centers, the Cobre Valley Regional Medical Center, the Cobre Valley Center for the Arts, White Porch, Bullion Plaza Museum and Cultural Center, Gila County Historical Museum, United Jewelers and the Copper Hen.
