The Cobre Valley community will hold an Independence Day parade and celebration this year. On Wednesday, July 4, gather along Broad and Pine streets in downtown Globe for the parade beginning at 9 a.m., or join the parade with an individual float. Advertise local business or organization, promote upcoming events, or just celebrate patriotism by decorating the family vehicle. Parade applications are available at the Globe-Miami Chamber of Commerce for pickup.
After the parade, there will be a celebration sponsored by Freeport McMoRan at Ragus football field at Miami High School. Beginning at 10 a.m., enjoy food, games, music and entertainment in the grass. Find a spot Wednesday night for the grand fireworks display off of the Claypool tailings.
