Gloria Thrasher

Gloria Mae Thrasher, beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, was called home to God on Dec. 26, 2020 at the age of 82. The Christmas holiday spirit was always a part of her life since she was born—in Christmas, Ariz. nonetheless. All who knew her understood her to be quick-witted and sharp-tongued, and to have an unfailing memory. Her faith remained constant and true. You could often find her deep in prayer each day. There was no one she loved more than her family. Her house is filled with pictures of her cherished loved ones. She was also known for her talented cooking skills. Her tamales and potato salad were always a crowd favorite. Her beloved recipes were passed down to her children and grandchildren she left behind.  She enjoyed the simple things in life - the quiet peace of the country, sun-brewed tea and a good muumuu.

A longtime resident of Wheatfields, she is survived by her husband Stanley Thrasher; two siblings, Martha Clark and Robert Buzan Jr.; her children Michael Ornelas (Bobbi), Margaret Shannon (Kasai) and Roberta Ornelas (Leonard); and her 18 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father Robert Buzan Sr., her mother Angela Ruiz Buzan and her two sons Manuel Ornelas and Frank Ornelas Jr.
