Gun Safety course July 20

The Gila County Women’s Gun Club will be presenting a gun safety program July 20 at Maranatha Baptist Church.

The Eddie Eagle Gun Safe Program, created by the NRA, is a gun accident prevention course for children ages pre-K through fourth grade. This program teaches children what to do if they ever come across a gun.

According to the National Center for Health Statistics, incidental firearm-related deaths among children in Eddie Eagle’s targeted age groups have declined more that 80 percent since the program’s launch.

There will be 2 sessions offered. First will be from 10 a.m. to noon and the second will be 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. There are a limited number of spaces available, so please sign up early.
