San Carlos Apache Tribal Chairman Terry Rambler posted the following information earlier this morning on his Facebook page:
"I have been notified by Chief of Police Benally that, due to the snow, there are several accidents along Highway 70 between Bylas and San Carlos and that the highway is closed until further notice.
ADOT has informed me a lot of their snow plows are elsewhere in the State.
Due to the emergency, I will provide administrative leave for those that can't make it to to work due to the snow and road closure until the Chief of Police gives me the okay.
Please be safe."
