GLOBE— The theme for the Centennial is “Put Your Gift’s at the Service of One Another” (1 Peter 4:10) and reflects the message Father Arnold is encouraging the church to follow during this Holy Year.
Friday, September 29 will be the opening event at Holy Angels’ Church for the year-long celebration of 100 years as a parish community.
At 5 p.m. a procession will for at the steps of the Globe Court House and proceed to the church for the celebration of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. Bishop Kicanas will preside at the service. A number of Honored Guests have been invited to attend the opening celebration.
Following Mass there will be a pot luck dinner at the parish hall. The dinner will include a short program and entertainment. Watch for additional events each month throughout the upcoming year with a Gala Celebration being planned for Saturday, September 29, 2018.
