Holy Angels receives community support following vandalism

Holy Angeles Church in Globe was vandalized on June 22. Their water fountain connection was broke and one of the statues in the garden was desecrated. Holy Angels put out a post on Facebook asking for help in finding the culprit of these destructive activities. Instead, they found support from many community members, some who are no longer living in the area.

Copper Bistro, a local restaurant, stepped up to help a place that was “near and dear to our hearts” and donated 10 percent of their profits made on June 24 to help with the damage. There was also a “gofundme” set up. The initial goal was $500 to assist with repairs, but that amount quadrupled once people started sharing it.

The Parishioners, staff, and Pastor of Holy Angels Church, extended their heartfelt gratitude to the owner and staff of Copper Bistro for their generous donation.

Their donation will greatly help in the repairs of the damaged property of the parish.
