James L. Hammer born in Marshall Town Iowa on May 29, 1954. He passed away on May 16, 2020. He was raised in the Globe-Miami community where he built a wonderful life with the love of his life Shirley Rose and raised their four boys. He worked in the local mines where he retired in 2020 for Pinto Valley/Capstone.
He was a great friend, brother, uncle, son, father, papa and great papa.
He is survived by three of his sons Jimbob Hammer (Amy), Nicholas Hammer (Trish), Jesse Curl (Michelle), mother Annie Hammer, brother Jerry Hammer, sisters Roberta Jones (Slew), Sandra Stevens (Hon), Yvonne Sanson (Don) Jolene Harrington (Felix Flores). His grandchildren Hope, Stacy, Jaden, Rilee, Gavin, Aubree, Mason, baby Jess, Damon, Breezy Brianna and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Shirley Rose Hammer, their son Billy Owen Hayes, and his father Robert Hammer.
We all love him and will miss him dearly. He is reunited with his Shirley Rose and now pain free.
