The Friends of the Globe Library invite you to join them in Bunco Mania, a night of fun, chance, and prizes.
The event takes place from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 12, at the American Legion, 645 S Broad St, Globe.
The winner of Bunco Mania receives a $50 cash prize. All players have a chance to win gift prizes throughout the evening. No Bunco experience required.
“It’s a very easy game to learn,” says Mary Testa, Friends of the Globe Library vice president. “You simply roll the dice.”
Bunco, a parlor game that originated in England, was popular in America during the 1920s Prohibition and resurged in the 1980s as a family game.
“There’s always a lot of laughs,” says Robin Wurst; club president and avid Bunco player.
Tickets are $10 and they’re going fast, according to Dolores Ward, club treasurer.
Call Dolores Ward at 480-986-4304 to check availability.
All funds raised go toward the enhancement of the Globe Public Library.
“I’m glad that we have so much support from the Friends,” says Library Director Adrea Ricke. “It really does make a difference every day.”
