Kearny expects crowd for 61st Pioneer Days

March brings out the best of the Arizona Sonoran Desert – flowers, pleasant weather and the 61st Pioneer Days in Kearny, Arizona. Take a scenic drive south from Superior on Arizona Highway 177 and join the festivities! The party starts on March 9 and runs through March 12. Hours are Thursday 4 p.m. – 10 p.m., Friday 12 p.m. – 11 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. – 11 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. - ?

Where is this happening? At Pioneer Park, 1120 Emery Dr. in Kearny.

What will be happening? Two stages will feature local and regional entertainment. In addition, you can enjoy a parade, the Pioneer Queen event and even a rodeo at the sheriff ’s posse arena. Of course, no Arizona festival would be complete without food vendors and artists!

Located at the base of the Pinal Mountains, Kearny is the largest of the Copper Corridor Communities in the region, and was named after frontier General Stephen Watts Kearny, who passed through the area on Nov. 7, 1846.
