Leona “Toots” Mary Copeland died May 7, 2017 at the age of 74 in Willcox. She was born in Cayuga, North Dakota on April 2, 1943 to Theodore Peplinski and Irene Rybus Peplinski.
She was a loving homemaker and was a volunteer for the Miami Food Bank.
Leona is survived by her children, Penny (Ted) Long of Willcox, Lance Copeland of Maricopa and Doug ( Kasey) Copeland of Globe, along with seven grandchildren. Also surviving are her brothers, Jim and LaVerne Peplenski; and a sister, Revenia "Babe" Nelson. Preceding her in death were her parents and her husband, Lyle Copeland.
