Local author Libby Rooney will be the feature presentation for Second Friday at Bullion Plaza Museum in Miami this Friday, March 10, starting at 6 p.m.

Libby’s book, “Recollections - Things Remembered,” is a collection of stories told by her uncle, Wade Wallace. Born into the Great Depression and growing up during World War II, he tells the story of how he arrived in Miami, Arizona, about leaving and coming back a few times over, and more than a few accidents and mishaps that happened along the way. Childhood adventures, his struggles as an adult and the many characters he’s met along the way tell of a time that was but is no longer.  Wade knew how to capture the excitement, humanity and humor in the experiences of his life.

Author Libby Rooney is a poet, a storyteller, photographer and artist of sorts. She also manages The Chrysocolla Inn in Globe.

There will be a talk with the author before the book signing.
