Dear Editor:
The family of John Marcanti would like to express a deep appreciation for the numerous cards, calls, food, donations and sincere condolences received after suffering such a devastating loss. John was so loved by his community, family, friends and all who crossed his path.
We have been comforted by stories of John’s giving heart by so many. The countless ways he went above and beyond to help his neighbors often went unnoticed, only coming to light after his passing. John will truly be missed and forever be remembered for his great contributions to this community that he loved so much.
Thank you to Haven of Globe, Karen Casillas, Peter Oddonetto and Thema Hospice for helping to provide excellent care during John’s final days.
Thank you to Junior and Roberta Reynoso from J & R’s, Benny Guerrero, the IBEW and Glenn Hazzard. Thank you to Karie Jones and Bouquets on Broad for the beautiful flower arrangements and Buz Sneezy for the use of his PA.
A special thank you to the Globe Fire Department for honoring John with the ladder truck and flag, Globe City Council, Arizona Silver Belt, Lamont Mortuary and Holy Angels Catholic Church along with Deacon Rich Lemieux from Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament for the beautiful service.
The Marcanti family would like to encourage all those who knew John to continue to pay it forward because that’s what Big John would do.
