Melchor Leal, age 74 passed away peacefully at home in Gilbert, Ariz. with all his children by his side. He was born and raised in Miami, Ariz. and was preceded in death by his Mother Virginia Quintanilla, Father Norberto Leal, Step Father Pete Quintanilla, and his brothers Bobby and Joe Leal.
Melchor was a loving father, grandpa, and great grandpa. Always quick with jokes and stories from the past. He loved visits from all his family and friends, and loved hearing about how everyone was doing and everything we were involved in with work, school and life in general. He always made sure to tell us all how proud he was of us and then quickly say “but I lie a lot”. Melchor was also a great Nino, Tio, Compa, Cousin and friend to many. He touched the lives of many and made a lasting impression with his quick wit, laugh, charm and great personality. He will be missed and never forgotten.
Melchor is survived by his children and son/daughter in laws, Genna Baroldy, Frank and Shari Leal, Deborah and Ben Richie, Melchor Leal Jr., and Bill and Mary Leal. He also leaves behind 15 grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
