Miami Centennial dinner well attended

Master of Ceremonies Ed Pastor and his sister Eleanor visit with Carmen Slough (left), who at 103 years of age had plenty of memories to share on the early days of the Globe-Miami area. The Miami Centennial dinner-dance, put on by the Globe-Miami Chamber of Commerce, saw more than 230 attending to enjoy a pasty or Mexican food dinner, followed with a dance to the music of Neto Vasquez and Imagine. Madison Palmer was one of the MHS Culinary Arts students who did a fabulous job of serving at the Miami Centennial dinner-dance on Saturday, March 10 at Bullion Plaza gymnasium. More than 230 people were in attendance for the event.
