Miami Fiesta moved to Sept. 28

Miami Fiesta will be held on Saturday, Sept. 28. There will be  Mariachis, Chihuahuas, food, drink and fun for all.

Vendor applications and parade entry forms are available at Miami Town. Hall. Get an application submitted soon, because event planners in Miami know how to throw a Saturday block party. Join local residents celebrating Miami’s heritage at the annual September Fiesta sprawling across the lawn in front of Bullion Plaza Museum and Cultural Center, a day filled with kids’ games, live Mariachis and traditional Ballet Folklorico dancers; chihuahua races, food trucks, beer garden and a Charro horse show with skilled riders and ropers.

Events kick-off with a 9 a.m. parade celebrating the theme ‘Liberty and Freedom’ with entries heading down Sullivan Street to the fiesta site at Bullion Plaza Museum and Cultural Center and cash prizes for top entries. Music and entertainment alternates hourly throughout the morning and afternoon. There will be a dance after dark too. From sunset ‘til long after dark fiesta-goers will dance beneath the starts during a live concert by local favorites, the Neto Vasquez Band.
