Miami Loco Arts festival kickoff at chamber’s Alive after Five

Alive after five on Thursday, April 19 will be a kickoff party for the Miami Loco Arts festival in downtown Miami from 5-7 p.m.

We plan music by the ever-popular Heart of Arizona, door prizes, contests, merchant specials and plenty of all around fun round out the evening in Miami. Miami Loco arts Festival will begin on Friday, April 20 at 6 p.m. the opening ceremony at 196 N. Keystone Ave. will kick off the festival.

Saturday morning at 11 a.m. the festivities begin with a drum circle, Organic Poetry Jam, and Poetry Under the Bridge at 1 p.m. Poetry under the bridge will take place right under Inspiration Ave. south of the Veterans Memorial Park and at 6 p.m. on Saturday, there will be a Twilight Progression down Sullivan Street, leading to the festival’s second annual poetry slam, emceed by Cobre Valley Center for the Arts director Paul Tunis.

Sunday, April 22 the festival continues from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
