Miami Senior Center news and update Sept. 5-11

MIAMI — The Miami Senior Center at 506 W. Live Oak St. offers lunch Monday through Friday. Call 928-473-4190.

The suggested donation is $2 for ages 60 and up. People under 60 can also enjoy lunches for $4 and are welcome any time.

Thursday, Sept. 5 —Bingo 10:30 a.m.

Menu: Hot dogs, broccoli and cheese sauce, baked beans, pasta salad, pineapple

Friday, Sept. 6 — Coffee Club 8-10 a.m., Karaoke 10:30 a.m.

Menu: Tuna salad, romaine salad with tomatoes, potato salad, wheat bread, mixed fruit

Monday, Sept. 9 — Coffee club 8-10 a.m.

Menu: Ham sandwich, 3 been salad, potato salad, wheat bread, apricot halves

Tuesday, Sept. 10 —Loteria 10:30 a.m., Yard Sale 8 a.m. to Noon

Menu: Chicken Tetrazzini with penne pasta, zucchini and cauliflower, garlic bread, apples

Wednesday, Sept. 11 — Coffee club 8-10 a.m., Karaoke 10:30 a.m.

Menu: Roasted pork, scalloped potatoes, mixed vegetables, wheat roll, pineapple chunks

All meals are served with 1 percent milk.

Miami Senior Center cannot deliver homebound meals without authorization from a case manager. Many people believe that they just have to call the center to receive a meal, but they must be referred through Pinal-Gila Council for Senior Citizens. Call 1-800-293-9393.
