Michael Tarango Walk for Hope on Saturday, March 6

Posted

The 6th annual Michael Tarango Walk for Hope is set for Saturday, March 6 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Gila County Courthouse in Globe.

Information packets will be distributed on a drive-by/walk-up basis. These bags contain useful information to have on hand whenever needed, plus some extra fun stuff. Narcan will also be available to those who need it; one day it may come in handy. Everyone on site will be masked and sanitizer will be on hand.

We will have the Homeless Coalition ready to take donations of blankets, jackets, hats, etc. (so clean out your closets). Also, it doesn’t take much to pick up a pack of men’s undergarments of any size to donate to the recovery home. Let’s bless those who are trying to help themselves with a bit of hope.

About 11:30 a.m., we are doing a walk from the courthouse down to the lights. We will cross over and up the opposite side, over the Hill Street School bridge, then cross over again and walk back to the courthouse.

You are welcome to join us; we simply need to remain six feet apart and wear our masks. If you have any questions, please call 520-447-9747.
