Funding aims to help businesses get back to full strength

Gila County businesses can now apply for a grant to help them recover from the effects of the coronavirus pandemic. News Media
Corp., the parent company of Arizona Silver Belt and Copper Country News (ASB/CCN), has established a fund to help local businesses get back to full strength by subsidizing local marketing efforts through matching advertising dollars.
"Businesses and workers are hurting and we are hurting, too." said Richard Taylor, publisher of ASB/CCN, "But if we can pull together as a community, we can weather this. We want to help local businesses rebuild while they tell their stories. ASB/CCN wants to assist businesses during this pandemic and keep businesses open and working by using matching grants. By pulling together with a community effort, we can ride out this storm since we are all hurting together."
 
Businesses operating in the Gila County market can apply for a grant of up to $5,000 today at 
Applicants will receive a response to their application within one to two business days.
 
The fund is open to all locally owned and operated businesses impacted by the coronavirus, whether or not they are ASB/CCN advertisers. Grant money can bu used for local print and online advertising between April 1 and June 30, 2020.
