Norman Eugene Lemmon passed away in his hometown of Globe, Ariz. on Feb. 27, 2020 following a short but courageous battle with cancer.

Norman was born on May 30, 1942 in Silver City, Utah to Clarence Lemmon and Clatie Allen Lemmon, he was the youngest of 12 siblings.  His three surviving siblings are brother Clyde Lemmon of Utah, sisters Velma Lemmon Thompson and Joyce Lemmon Robinson, also of Utah.  Norm fathered three children; son Leo Lemmon and daughters Gena Lemmon Phelan of Texas and Annette Lemmon Courtney of Utah. He is also survived by six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Norm was preceded in death by the love of his life, Lillian Myers Martin, with whom he lived for more than 20 years. He is also survived by stepdaughters Nancy Myers Phegley, JoAnn Myers Mathews, Betty Lou Myers (deceased) and stepson Wesley Myers (deceased).

Throughout Norman’s 45 years in Arizona, he worked as a mechanic at several mines, including Christmas Mine and Bagdad Mine. He also worked for nearly 20 years as a kitchen manager at McDonald’s in Globe.  Norman enjoyed fishing and hunting in his younger days and later in life enjoyed spending time with his dear neighbors, John and Julie James.  Perhaps Norm was most admired for his unflagging loyalty to Lillian as he cared for her for several years prior to her death in 2013.
