Orlinda “Orlie” Hernandez, born Dec. 23, 1936, passed away Nov. 3, 2021 at Haven of Globe. Orlinda was married to Eberto C. Hernandez for 48 years before losing him in 2007. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Eberto C. Hernandez, son Pete Hernandez, two sisters Mellie Hutchins and Joann Navarro, grandson Daniel Hernandez Jr. and great-grandson Albert. She is survived by her children Jose Hernandez, Danny Hernandez, Eberto J. Hernandez, Teresa Hernandez, Gina Hanson and Maria Jawara, 17 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Orlinda loved her family and loved God. She had many jobs in her life; the old Miami theatre, La Paloma, Burger Box, selling Avon, Copper Manor Motel and housekeeper.
She was mostly a beloved mother and homemaker. Many people were lucky enough to experience her tortillas and tamales. Orlinda will be loved and missed by her family and friends who knew her. We would like to thank Haven of Globe and Thema Hospice for taking care of her. Special thanks to Lamont Mortuary for handling her arrangements. Services were held on Nov. 11, 2021 at Lamont Chapel, Globe, Az.
