Park After Dark series continues Saturday at Roosevelt

“Park After Dark: Our Solar System and Beyond,” takes place on Saturday, April 14 from 7-9 p.m. at the Tonto National Monument, located at 26260 AZ Hwy. 188, Roosevelt, Arizona.

Explore the solar system and all of its components. After the program, join the Phoenix Astronomical Society and park rangers for telescope viewing and constellation tours.

The event is free.

Explore the wonders of the night at Tonto National Monument. Night sky events will include star gazing, astronomy programs, telescope viewing with astronomers from the Phoenix Astronomical Society, and Junior Ranger Night Explorer activities for kids.

Night Hike events will include a guided interpretive hike to the Lower Cliff Dwelling after dark.

Bats Hike will be held on Saturday, April 28 from 7-9 p.m.

These events are free and open to the public. Bring water and snacks, a flashlight or headlamp, warm clothing, and closed-toed shoes.

Meet at the Visitor Center parking lot.
