Patsy Ruth Aneas Fodera, 89, lifelong resident of the Globe-Miami area, passed away Monday, Feb. 15, 2021 at her home in Wheatfields. Patsy and her husband, Louis, have called their house in Wheatfields home for the past 72 years.

Patsy was preceded in death by her parents Joe Aneas and Opal Henderson Aneas, brothers Jack Aneas and Edward (Skipper) Aneas, and son Joedy Wayne Fodera.

Patsy is survived by the love of her life, husband Louis Fodera. She also leaves three daughters, Valorie Ashby (Jimmy), Vickie Teague (Leo) and Vonda Dalton (Rex). She also leaves 11 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Patsy was the sparkplug behind Louis in his business adventures. Together they owned and operated the old Monte Carlo Tavern in Claypool, along with Joe’s Place and the Globe-Miami Speedway stock car racetrack in Wheatfields.

In her high school days, she led the Miami Vandal Band as Baton/Majorette.

Patsy loved music and dancing. She played piano by ear. She encouraged her grandchildren to play music, always their biggest fan. Patsy had many talents. One of her biggest accomplishments was to have crocheted each of her three daughters a 60-inch tablecloth to set their wedding cake on and to cherish forever.

Patsy was a beautiful soul with a huge heart. Heaven has gained another angel. Patsy has gone from us, but the bond that unites our souls can never be severed. Her image will live in our hearts forever.

Private family graveside services will be held.
